Draw Textured Yarn (DTY) is manufactured with Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) by texturing machine. This kind of DTY Polyester Yarn for weaving is a finished yarn which is following drawn on a texturing machine and deformed by a twister. 
DTY interlaced yarn (network wire): interlaced yarn refers to the filament which is entangled with each other in the network nozzle by jet flow and presents periodic dot. Network processing is mainly used for POY, FDY and DTY processing. The draw textured yarn made by combining network technology with DTY technology has not only fluffiness and elasticity of deformed silk, but also periodicity and network points, which improves the compactness of filament yarn, eliminates several working procedures of following textile processing, and improves the ability of DTY filament yarn to pass through water jet loom.
According to the type of network nozzle, the temperature of the first and second heat box, and the raw POY yarn, there are polyester drawn textured yarn, polyester high textured yarn, non-intermingle(NIM), slight-intermingle(SIM), heave-intermingle(HIM), DTY SIM, two ply or three ply yarn, etc.
DTY not only has the characteristics of high breaking strength and elastic modulus, excellent heat setting, good resilience, heat resistance, light resistance, strong corrosion resistance, easy to wash and dry, but also has the characteristics of high bulkiness, good heat insulation, comfortable handle, soft luster, etc. 
As for polyester’s impact strength, which is several times higher than nylon’s, also is dozens of times higher than viscose fiber. And the wet strength is almost the same as the dry strength, because of polyester’s low hygroscopicity.
DTY yarn is mainly used as a part of weaving and knitting for making fabrics (such as garments, suits, shirts, shoes), bedding (such as quilts, bedspreads, mosquito nets) and decorative items (such as curtain fabrics, sofa fabrics, wall coverings, interior fabrics) , etc.
